Welcome to my second mash of 2012. I’ve gone all chilled out on this one and slowed things down a little. It features the vocals of Phil Collins and Genesis with In Too Deep, updated over Katy’s album closing track, Not Like The Movies. Sorry, Guys, had to take a little break over Christmas and New Year due to some technical problems (like a hard disk crash to start with)… Grrrr! Anyway, normal service should now resume as I’m all reloaded (and didn’t lose any pellas or mentals either, so that was a relief!). Made this little mash a few days ago, although I fully appreciate there are plenty of Adele – Set Fire… mashups out there. Hope you like my take on it! As always, comments and feedback welcome. Hope you like my latest mash. Beyonce’s vocals seemed to fit so well over the Green Day mental. Had to cut up the mental a little to get it to match the verse and chorus parts, but otherwise it was fairly straight forward. Comments and feedback welcome. Cheers.

Yikes! I made it into the final! Thanks to all who voted, but I need your help again. The only remit this time round was that you had to use a minimum of 4 sources. I tried a few combinations, but this one seemed to work best. It was also a nice change to try and work more on a theme. Obviously, all pellas used have been cut up a fair bit, and I also had to shorten the mental as the original mix ran to over 6 minutes 30 (maybe I’ll finish that one off after the comp and release as an extended version – assuming people like it!). The Doobie Brothers vs The Trammps – Listen To The Disco Theme

Well, made it into Round 2 of the MashStix Mashup Competition II thanks to a wildcard entry. It’s a battle in this round with only one person from each battle going through to the final. Our theme was to only use sources from the 1970′s. Thought I’d go with a 70′s disco angle, so these two tracks went very well together to my ears. Had to cut up the mental quite a bit to match the chorus and verse of the pella. The mental also kept speeding up and slowing down, so had to correct the timing issues too.
